Have you guys heard about the Starbucks Unicorn Frappuccino?

Well, incase you have been living under a rock…Starbucks announced this special limited time only Frappuccino that was beautiful. It looked beautiful anyway. Well, investigators (sarcasm) discovered that the drink was LOADED in sugar

….GASP…

A Starbucks drink, loaded with sugar? 

Incase you have been living under another rock….Most of their speciality drinks are loaded with sugar.

I didn’t care that there were 72 g of sugar in a Venti…I still wanted to try it. I know how bad sugar is. The addictive qualities it has on my brain. The way it shakes up my hormones, raises my blood sugar, rots my teeth, inflames my body, leads to cancer and stores body fat…

Im healthy and my body can regenerate and eliminate its evil hold in a few days…balance right?

I picked my daughter up from school and went to my local Starbucks….can you believe they were out of it? They sold out of it in ONE day…at all of the Starbucks in the region.

 

Stupid right? So, anyway…I am mad at Starbucks.

I decided to make my own. It was prettier. Take that Starbucks.

This smoothie has 2 parts so, pay attention.

First Part:

4 frozen strawberries and about 1/2 cup of frozen raspberries

1/2 Banana

1/4 almond milk

Blend and pour into separate cup

Second Part:

1/2 Cup of frozen blueberries

1 TBS Organic Vanilla Green Yogurt

1/2 Banana

1/4 Cup Almond Milk

Blend

Method:

Here comes the fun! Start to layer. Pour the pink blend in (save some) pour in the blueberry blend and top off with the rest of the pink blend. Swirl it a little bit with a straw and top with whip cream (if you want).

22 grams of sugar and thats because the banana adds 14 of them! Your body has a much better ability to break down these natural sugars than whatever they are putting in their version.

The coloring is a little different but unicorns are pink and purple to me…
