According to the YogaLife Institute, yoga therapy is proven to help a variety of conditions, including: weight management, respiratory disorders, addiction recovery, depression and anxiety, ADD and ADHD, pain management, injury recovery, work and family life balance and much more.
What Is Stress?
Stress can be mental, emotional or physical discomforts, and what is stressful for one person might not bother another. Stress is anything that causes tension or discomfort.
In a yoga therapy session I will work with you to relieve stress in anyway most efficient for you. In other words, I taylor the yoga to you. Not You to the yoga.
What Should I Expect During a Yoga Therapy Session?
Every yoga therapy session is different. During the first session you can expect an hour long one on one session to begin to identify stressors. You will be introduced to breathing techniques and gentle postures to explore mind, body and spirit connection. You set the pace for your own Yoga Therapy sessions but, expect them to be at least 5 sessions long to experience a change in life style. You will leave sessions with new yoga techniques to practice at home before the next session. Dress comfortably, bring water and be ready to let go.
